Logo Re-Designs

One of the projects I embarked on this past year was creating new logo for non-profit organizations. As a designer, and more importantly as a human being, I value non-profits and helping social causes in general. After a lot of time spent conducting research on national non-profits, I came across Write Girl. Write Girl is a creative writing and mentoring organization that inspires young women to engage in creative work, problem solving, and leadership skills. Write Girl matches girls with women writers who help them through the process of creative writing. Though an amazing non-profit, I think the logo is quite dated, and through many in depth conceptual decisions I came up with a redesign that I think benefits the organization.

Noise Vinyl

Website Redesign Concept

Role: UX / UI Design, Prototyping, Design System

01. Overview

Noise Vinyl is a San Francisco based record store inspired by the sounds and culture of the 60s and 70s. The shop celebrates vintage music and vinyl collecting, but its existing digital experience didn’t reflect that same warmth and nostalgia. I designed a refreshed website concept that merges retro-inspired visuals with modern usability, creating a smooth, engaging, and intuitive e-commerce experience for vinyl lovers.

The goal was to bring the soul of analog music to a clean, modern web interface, where users can easily discover new records, explore artists, and complete their purchase seamlessly.

To achieve this, I designed a cohesive series of mockups that bring consistency to the overall user flow:

  • Best Sellers Screen – A curated showcase of top-selling vinyls, emphasizing album artwork and quick-access interactions.

  • All Artists Screen – A visually engaging grid of artists with filter and search functionality to help users easily explore by genre or style.

  • Artist Screen – A dedicated artist page featuring discography, highlights, and related recommendations for deeper discovery.

  • Album Details Screen – A focused product page highlighting album art, tracklist, and an immersive listening preview layout.

  • Checkout Modal – A streamlined, one-step checkout overlay designed to simplify the purchasing process without leaving the browsing experience.

The result is a digital concept that honors the tactile experience of vinyl while improving usability and flow, a modern site with vintage character.

02. Process

I began by identifying key pain points in existing record store sites — cluttered product pages, inconsistent navigation, and multi-step checkout flows that interrupt the shopping experience. From there, I created wireframes to explore layout hierarchy and interaction design, focusing on simplicity and visual rhythm.

The visual direction took cues from classic record labels and psychedelic typography of the 1970s, merging warm tones, soft shadows, and textured backgrounds to evoke a retro feel. Each page was crafted in Figma with attention to consistency in typography, spacing, and interaction feedback.

For the checkout modal, I studied modern e-commerce flows to maintain a fast, frictionless process — integrating all essential information without forcing users to leave their current screen.

Throughout the project, I aimed to balance a nostalgic brand story with a contemporary UX foundation, ensuring Noise Vinyl feels both authentic and efficient.

04. Next Steps

While only a handful of key pages were requested for this initial concept, the Noise Vinyl redesign has strong potential for continued development. The foundation of this proposal establishes a cohesive brand direction and user flow — and I plan to expand the design system over time with additional pages, interactive components, and refined e-commerce features. This concept represents the start of a larger vision: transforming Noise Vinyl into a full digital experience that feels as authentic and dynamic as flipping through records in person.
